Our pilot is an experienced pilot with both licensing for UAVs and Helicopters, TOP AUVSI Level II Drone Operator Certification, as well as holding a Level III Master sUAS Thermographer Certification (Highest Level of Certification).
Currently our fleet operates 3 levels of drones for different purposes. We have a small and portable DJI Mavic Pro for basic imaging and mapping ability, a medium sized DJI Inspire 2 for professional media grade imaging capabilities, and finally our main workhorse, the DJI Matrice 210 RTK which is equipped with the Zenmuse Z30 inspection camera system and the FLIR Zenmuse XT2 thermal camera system, providing dual camera support for nearly any industry application. Between the capabilities of these 3 drones, we are able to service the majority of clients with the latest and most reliable technology on the market today.
Most people do not understand the science behind thermal imaging (Thermodynamics & Thermography), and the importance of having certified thermographers to interpret the data captured by thermal imaging devices. There is so much more to aerial thermal imaging besides slapping a thermal (IR – Infrared) camera to a drone and taking the images. To capture accurate, reliable, and quantifiable data, requires certified personnel to setup, operate, and analyze the information surrounding the thermal imaging equipment. Many thermal imaging operators today either do not have or have the minimum required technical knowledge to perform these inspections correctly. This is where GT Advanced Aerial Services goes above and beyond our competitors. Our drone operator is currently certified to the highest possible level (Level III Master Thermographer), in order to give our clients the reassurance that the data they receive is of the highest caliber.
